Eating & Drinking
WATER
While the hotel has a water filtration system, we still recommend sticking to bottled or filtered water rather than drinking straight from the tap.
The hotel will provide bottled water, and it’s readily available throughout the city. If you have a sensitive stomach, you may also want to use bottled water when brushing your teeth.
ICE
At hotels, restaurants, and established bars, ice is generally made with purified water, so there’s no need to skip the margaritas!
If you’re somewhere more casual and unsure, you can always ask to be safe.
Altitude
Mexico City sits at approximately 7,350 feet above sea level, much higher than New York, Houston, and most U.S. cities! You may feel a little more tired or out of breath than usual when you first arrive. Stay hydrated, give yourself some time to adjust, and keep in mind that alcohol may hit a little harder at this altitude.
We’re counting on you to come ready to party, so please plan accordingly!
Getting Around
Transportation will be provided to and from all of our wedding events.
For exploring Mexico City on your own, Polanco, Roma Norte, and Condesa are wonderful, walkable neighborhoods with plenty of restaurants, shops, and cafés to explore.
For longer distances, Uber is generally the easiest and most convenient way to get around. Just keep in mind that Mexico City traffic can be unpredictable, so we recommend allowing plenty of extra time, especially during rush hour.
Getting to and from the airport: We recommend using Uber. Official airport taxis are also a safe and reliable option, with designated taxi stands located at the airport.
